If you want to take a break from jumping up and down in front of your television and just connect (get it!?) with someone else, you’ll be glad to know that Kinect works with Windows Live Messenger on PCs. Marc Whitten, Xbox Live’s general manager, confirmed that you may use your Kinect camera to video chat with all the Windows Live Messenger users of the world, and that this functionality will be available at launch.

What they’re calling Video Kinect will use your device to beam your face and voice out to the internets, no headset needed. Microsoft says that Kinect will automatically adjust to capture everyone that’s sitting in the room. Pretty neat.
