While everyone was shouting aboutDuke Nukem Foreverat PAX, Rare and Microsoft quietly announced two new modes for the upcoming Kinect Sports — boxing and “Party Play.”
Boxing is, well… it’s boxing. You’ll work up a sweat swinging your arms like a mad man, making on-screen Avatars pummel other ugly Avatar faces in the process. “Party Play” is… some kind of tournament-style multiplayer mode that will let your characters dress up like aliens and carrots and stuff. I don’t know, it’s kind of trippy, and I’m not sure how I feel after having seen it.Kinect Sportsis out this fall, alongside Kinect’s November 4 release.
