Ken Levine, creative director for 2K Boston, recently toldForbesthat he wants PC gaming to find its stride again. The only problems were the ones he enumerated in the interview – it takes too much of a technical eye to get a PC up to the specifications for a new and awesome looking game. Unfortunately, Levine didn’t exactly say what could fix his broken PC gaming.
From the interview:
I wish the industry could find a way to make PC gaming more broadly successful. There are so many challenges for PC gaming – the complications from systems specifications to the drivers – most people look at PC games and say, ‘What are you talking about?’
Levine would go on to say that the lack of PC games is a “shame because as a gamer, I am never more comfortable than I am sitting with a mouse and keyboard two inches away from my monitor.” Apparently, Mr. Levine doesn’t have couch or a wireless controller. Trust us, those two things will absolutely change your perception of comfort gaming, Mr. Levine.
