Gamers have long thought that Eat Sleep Play — co-founded by David Jaffe — have been working on a newTwisted Metaltitle for the PlayStation 3. But if Jaffe’s latest Twitter comments are to be believed, that may not be the case.
Responding to analyst Michael Pachter’s comments on the latest episode ofBonus Round, Jaffe has seemingly shut down the long-standing rumor.
“I wish we were making a newTwisted Metal,”he wrote in responseto Pachter calling the title out. “Making [a] game you’ve already worked on is a tons easier [because] your core blueprint is already there.”
“This new game design stuff, though?” he adds. “Man, that is hard… reason I’m so stressed these days!”
Perhaps Jaffe is just trying to throw us off the trail, right? We may have to wait awhile to find out, as the designer has confirmed that Eat Sleep Play’s titlewon’t appearat E3 this June.
