An image that has appeared on theRockstar Social Club Web siteis hinting at some curious events that may take place in Liberty City.
The image shows a quarantine sign — presumably on the fence surrounding the in-game Eugenics, Inc. compound inGrand Theft Auto IV’s Liberty City — warning of the outbreak of a contagious disease. This particular location (sans sign) can be found in the game world, yet it doesn’t play any role in the game. There is some speculation that this could tie into the the upcomingGTA IVDLC, which Microsoft has confirmed should be available this fall.
The thought of a contagious outbreak brings to mind a few scenarios, the first of which is a mind-blowing proposition: a zombie-like,28 Days Later-inspired outbreak in Liberty City (azombie skinis already unlockable inGTA IV’s multiplayer mode). It’s wild, for sure, but the possibilities are mouth-watering and exciting, to say the least.
