Nintendo made a lot of noise yesterday about upcoming releases, so some stuff probably got lost in the shuffle. Admittedly, some of it probably should have…

ButNight Games, a WiiWare exclusive title developed byCave Storydeveloper Nicalis, should not. The title is a nominee for a 2009 Independent Games Festival Seumas McNally Award (say that five times fast), so you know what that means — it’s nothing like, say,Killzone 2.

What it does look like is a gorgeous and atmospheric experience that has a similar look and feel to Nicalis’ other titles. That is to say it looks incredible, of course. The gameplay appears to involve using physics to push a glowing sphere throughout the world.

Forget talking aboutNight Gamesthough;check out the trailer that Nicalis released exclusively to our friends at GoNintendo. It’s pretty stunning, and I think it’s a game you’re going to be hearing a lot about in 2009.
