Hellion: Mystery of the Inquisitionis a game I’ve been following for quite some time, and this very first piece of gameplay footage looks … rough. Very rough indeed. Billed as a “preview” of the game’s first-person swordfighting, I am guessing that it’s very early footage which would excuse the roughness. Still, I wouldn’t have released this ifIwere the developer.
Looks likeOblivion‘s combat system if you ask me, which isn’t a good comparison. In any case, this game’s concept is pretty damn good so I’m willing to hope that this is just a case of rough test footage and that improvements will be made. There is serious potential in a game like this — I just hope it’s capitalized on.
Hellionis planned for 360, PS3 and PC, but no release date has yet been given.
