I can’t be bothered to get a video this week because I am lazy. Instead, you’re able to close your eyes and imagine you are watching something funny. Try pressing your fingers against your eyes until those funny colors start appearing. It’ll be like doing drugs, without the inevitible feeling that you’re skeleton is dying inside of your skin.

In other news, videogames happened. If you would like to see what videogames happened, you may hit the jump and read about it. Why not try it now?

Colette:A nightly dose ofResident Evil 5, interspersed with small doses ofRhythm HeavenandSpace Invaders Extreme 2.

Chad:Um …Mother 3is one of the greatest games I have ever played in my entire life.

Battlefield 6 aiming RPG at a helicopter

Nick: Playing a few games this week, including theRhythm HeavenI picked up at the Iwata keynote at GDC. Also, played a bit ofChinatown Warson my plane ridetoGDC… for three hours straight without realizing it. I’ll also be playingGodfather II,Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena, and maybe some other stuff. Oh,Peggleon Xbox LIVE Arcade — I have to catch up with my wife’s achievement progress.

Grim:I’ve been extremely busy this week, so it’s mostly just beenAdvance Wars 2andMario & Luigi:Superstar Sagawhenever I had a few quick minutes to play. I also managed to unlock all of the characters inResident Evil 5‘s Mercenaries by playing a few rounds each night. S.T.A.R.S. Wesker for the mother f’ing win!

Conrad:Spent most of the week at GDC where I got to playFat Princessand a few other games. While traveling, I played a little moreHenry Hatsworth, as well as a littleGrand Theft Auto: Chinatown WarsandMetal Slug 7on my DS.

Upon returning home, I’ve spent time withBurn Zombie Burnfor review andUncharted: Drake’s Fortune, which I find to be a lot likeTomb Raidergames except fun, which is something I so rarely get to experience.

Speaking of PS3 games, I could use a few recommendations as to what to play next. I’ve already gone throughMGS4andFlower.Ratchet and Clankis on my list next. Other than that, no clue. FPS games are pretty much out for me unless they offer some incredibly compelling reason for playing, but I’d be down for more 3rd person action or some puzzle games. If you have any suggestions, I’d love to hear them.

Jim:MostlySuikoden Tierkreis, interspersed with struggled attempts to get intoValkyrie Profile: Covenant of the Plume. Perhaps before next week, I’ll be able to play it for more than ten minutes. It’s not exactly a bad game, just really hard to truly care about.

I also played the demo ofDynasty Warriors Strikeforceand have concluded that the game is absolutely impossible without three other players. I fail to see how I’m going to be able to get three people together with the means and desire to play it. Very disappointing. Also had my first little taste ofLocoRocoand was impressed, so will be looking into acquiring those games soon.

Samit:I’m still addicted to Road to the Show inMLB 09, of course, although I’ve now seen a strange bug for the second time. I’m a starting pitcher, which means that I play every five days — but for some reason, the schedule screwed up, and the game had me start on two days’ rest. Of course, I didn’t have any stamina, and I was only able to go three or four innings before I was lifted. It was annoying, because it screwed up the statistically awesome season that I was having (four straight complete-game shutouts). Weird.

I also returned to Paradise City and earned my B license — only 20 events to go before I get my A license! So far, the Road Rage events are the easiest — my last one required 9 takedowns, and I finished with close to 20, if I recall correctly. I love the game because it’s so massive — just when I assumed that I’d seen everything there was to see in the game world, I found a number of previously unseen Super Jumps and Billboards. Sweeeeeeeet.

Conrad: On PSN, definitely check outEveryday Shooter, echochrome,PixelJunk Monsters,PixelJunk Eden, and3 on 3 NHL Arcade, in addition toSuper Stardust HD(I know you’re a big fan ofGeometry Wars, so you’re bound to like it). As for full retail games, I really lovedWarhawkback in late 2007/early 2008, but I’m not sure if people will still be playing that (it’s a multiplayer-only game).MotorStormand its sequel,MotorStorm: Pacific Rift, are worth playing if you like racing games. Obviously,LittleBigPlanetis a must-try, at the very least. Finally, if you care about baseball at all, giveMLB 09 The Showa shot.
