After Microsoft unveiledKoduat its CES press conference earlier this year, I was accidentally calling it everything from “Roku” to “Doku.” But even if I wasn’t certain of its name, after seeing a demo of the game, I was positive that it was damned cool.

Microsoft’s answer (in some ways) to Sony’sLittleBigPlanet, Kodu makes a game out of game creation. By using a game controller to input commands, relatively complex code can be written and then distributed on the Xbox LIVE Community Games Channel.

According to a developer onKodu’s official blog, the team is “doing final content passes as [they] get ready for release, which is the end of June.” So that means in a few weeks, junior programmers will be unleashed upon the Xbox LIVE community. I don’t know if we’re ready for this.
