Microsoft has announced today that “due to supply chain issues,” the price of theFable II Limited Collector’s Editionwill now be $69.99 (as opposed to the previously announced $79.99).
They’re not just feeling generous — the “supply chain issues” apparently have changed the contents of the collector’s edition. So what do you lose? Oh, just the premium box, five printed fate cards, and Hobbe figure. So what do you still get?
Microsoft feels bad about the mix-up, and, as a show of good faith, are offering up a free Fable album download. The album contains selections of Fable 1 music, as well as three new tracks upFable II. you’re able to pick it up by heading over tohttp://www.sumthingdigital.comand entering “FableCollection” as the promotion code, starting on October 6 at 9 a.m. PST.
So, who’s canceling their Collector’s Edition pre-order? No Hobbe figure, no sale, right?
