Like corpses reanimated by leaky, top secret government barrels of gas stored in the basement of a medical supply warehouse, the rumors of aDead Risingsequel have once again risen from the grave.
This time they come courtesy ofElectronic Gaming Monthy‘s Quartermann, who claims thatDead Rising 2is being developed by an LA-based developer for multiple platforms. Whether this game will be out before or after the co-opQuartermann saidthe originalDead Risingwas going to receive is unknown. Regardless of whether this is true or not, I’m sick of theDead Risingsequel rumors — just make it happen already, Capcom.
Quartermann also mentions that Ready at Dawn’s upcoming PSP title, God of War: Chains of Olympus may also be headed to the PlayStation 2 (see also:Silent Hill: Origins,Secret Agent Clank,Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories,Twisted Metal: Head-On). Other rumors includeEveryday Shootercoming to the PSP, the inevitable unveiling of Sony’sIcosequel, and a Wii-like motion controller for the PS2.
If one and only one rumor were to be true, I’m crossing my fingers for aDead Risingsequel (provided it’s in the right hands). I already intend on playingChains of Olympuson the PSP,Everyday Shooterjust needs to get PSP remote play capabilities, and a Team Ico game is a no-brainer. But a PS2 motion controller? I can’t think of a single drug that would make me thinkthat’sa good idea.
