IDG World Expo has announced that E for All is NM for “no more.” The reason for the show’s cancellation is probably a lopsided mix. First, the show was apparently terrible this year. Secondly, there’s this one show called E3, and itjust got biggerafter a poor response two years running.

IDG gave a statement toVE3Dabout the cancellation:

We want to thank all of our E for All partners for their support, and we encourage E for All exhibitors to participate in the E3 new event, which we believe will meet their needs as well as those of the industry at large. IDG World Expo is very pleased to be partnering with the ESA on E3 and continuing to play a central role in that important industry event. We look forward to furthering our contribution to the success of the video game community.

Inour recent interviewwith ESA president Michael Gallagher, he said that the next E3 would combine both “big and small formats,” which lends credence to the reason why IDG would withdraw its much smaller consumer trade show. In the end, we still can’t be sure what E3 will provide, but there’s still hope for booth babes. Lots and lots of booth babes.
