According to the developer of the portable titles, Frontline Studios, they’re still in development… but no longer Duke Nukem games.Â
To be calledDuke Nukem Critical Mass, the games were said to be the first in a trilogy of portable games featuring the ass-kicking, bubble gum chewing Duke. Frontline will still be releasing the games, only with a different title so generic it’ll knock the wind out of you —Extraction Point: Alien Shootout.
While the games will presumably see the light of day, without the Duke Nukem branding, it’s likely they’ll die on the shelves in obscurity. Check out the above video for the PSP Duke Nukem game that could have been.Â
