We’d already heard that yet another prequel novel was coming for BioWare’s upcoming RPGDragon Age: Origins, and todayThe Callinghas officially been announced. The book continues the plot ofThe Stolen Throneand details the return of the Grey Wardens, along with their clash against a resurgent Darkspawn.
By all accounts,The Callingappears to have more direct links to the upcomingOriginsgame thanThe Stolen Thronedid, with characters and plot that have more relevance to the adventure we’ll actually be playing.
The Stolen Thronewas actually a really good book, and well worth checking out. Its fantasy trappings are somewhat typical, but it’s well written and is guaranteed to set one up quite nicely for the videogame. I expectThe Callingto be just as decent, and shall most likely pick it up when it releases on October 13.
