Possibly forced by Microsoft’s hand after itwas revealed yesterday, BioWare and Electronic Arts have dropped details on the once-mysterious “Darkspawn Chronicles” DLC forDragon Age: Origins.

The DLC puts players in the boots of the Darkspawn, playing as the army of the Blight, and enslaved by the will of the Archdemon. Focused on an alternate history in the game universe, the game begins with the player dying during the “Joining” ceremony. The Grey Wardens are now ruled under Alistair’s command; you’ll control a hurlock vanguard, with the ability to “Enthrall” and recruit any darkspawn you encounter.
