If you are one of the many people who (rightly) lovedCrackdown, then you might bethrilled to knowthat there is still a very real possibility that we could be enjoying a sequel to the much loved Xbox 360 game … one day.

“It was a horrible, horrible decision that we still dwell on,” said Realtime Worlds boss Colin Macdonald on the decision not to work on a sequel right away. “But I don’t think the door’s closed. Obviously, right now we’re tied up withAPBand everything else, but hopefully in the future we’ll have the resource and something can be worked out with Microsoft.”

“We would have loved to have seen it. We poured five years of our lives into that game. You know, we’ve got guys on the development team that haveCrackdowntattoos, permanent tattoos on their arms. We’re extremely passionate about it.”

Sadly, Macdonald stated that for a small team like Realtime Worlds, sometimes you can’t do what you’d like to do, and at that as far asCrackdown 2went, “the numbers just didn’t add up.” Unfortunate news indeed, but with the firstCrackdownbeing such a well-received title, it can only be a matter of time before we see a sequel.
