This is an argument I’ve seen crop up in a few places recently, and so I thought I’d post the question to you: does Sony owe you anything for the PlayStation Networkbeing down for over a week?
Of course, peoplepayfor Xbox Live if they want to play games online. With PSN, nobody’s shortchanged if they can’t playSOCOM 4. However, theydidpurchase the game, mostly with the intent of playing it online, and that’s something they’ve been unable to do since it launched. Do they deserve something for a wasted week?
Personally, while I don’t think Sony ismorallyobligated to give anything away for a free service going down, Idothink it would be in the company’s best interests to make a token gesture for all gamers, not just Plus users. It would at least be a bit of good PR after a week of terrible press.
What doyoureckon, though?
