Growing up playing arcade machines every opportunity I could find, there were two types of machine that I’ve always wanted. The first is a Neo-Geo cabinet, which has been fulfilled. Which means that I now must work on convincing my woman that we really need aMs. Pac-Mancocktail cabinet.
Of course, I’d never considered just miniaturizing the design and producing a cute and striking piece like this. Built by Sam Seide, the mini-cocktail runs MAME on an 8.9″ ASUS laptop. He managed to cram six buttons into the small console space and, like all good cocktail-cabs, it supports two players.
Very cool stuff. If you’re interested and have the cash, one of these is being auctioned over on eBay. As of right now, it’s already at $800 with three days left to go and that’s a bit rich for my blood.
