Last week’s gamescom madness in Cologne was a busy time for Destructoid’s European contingent. The seven of us that were writing, interviewing, and shooting and editing video had to run for bathroom break in the few spare moments we had in a very busy schedule, but all of it was for you guys. Missed something? Then take the weekend to catch up while you mope about not being at PAX Prime!
We saw a lot of new games and new content for games we already knew about, shot a lot of video interviews, and had a thousands of sweaty causcasian Germans obstructing our path. Eleven other members of our UK community had to deal with them the most on the show floor, but they had a blast in Cologne regardless.
Maybe next year you’ll be a part of it too?

Lastly, I want to take this opportunity to give a shoutout to our gamescom crew: Hollie Bennett (interviews, management boss lady), Daniel Carneiro (interviews, video editing), Sebastian Matthews (camera), Royston Malcomber (camera, video editing), Jamie McGinn (writing), and last but not least Ian Roberts (video editing).
These people did an amazing job working under pressure with the tools they had, especially Sebastian and Jamie who joined us for gamescom’s insanity for the first time this year.
I hope everyone has had as much fun reading and watching our content as we’ve had creating it, so make sure to tune in next year for all your gamescom coverage.
