Destructoid is proud to exclusively unveil the first gameplay video for D-Pad Studios’Owlboy. We spoke about the gamea while ago, when it caught our eye for its retro look and unique promise of “free roaming flying with dungeons.”

As a fan of anything that uses sprites, is 2D, and scrolls, I wanted more fromOwlboy, and more is what we have. This above video demonstrates whatOwlboyis all about, and it looks pretty bloody good. The nostalgic visuals and the beautiful music have pretty much won my heart.
