Chances are, if you’re a fan of theCivilizationseries on the PC, the upcoming console-friendlyCivilization Revolutiondoesn’t appeal to you. But what if it did, and you don’t have one of those fancy PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360 consoles thatRevolutionwill be coming to this summer? Looks like you’re screwed.

According to the game’s producer, Jason Bergman, it’s not happening. Ever. Never ever, in fact. But it’s not because 2K and developer Firaxis think PC gaming is dead (coughCliffy Bcough), as Berman explained theMTV Multiplayer’s Patrick Klepek.  The game was simply designed to be played on a console, where it will utilize one of those high-tech control pads all of the kids are using these days.

“There was never a mouse interface,” he told Multiplayer, “it was always designed around a controller.”

He spits at the idea of enabling keyboard and mouse support forRevolution, suggesting there was no reason for it considering how the game is meant to be played. Bergman wants to be very clear, and told Multiplayer that they “don’t want it tobe look at asCiv[ilization] 5.” Klepek takes this to mean that a PC sequel is in the cards, and to that I say: Duh?
