In a recentinterviewwith VG247, Capcom’s Christian Svensson says the company is currently at work on some PC-lead games. Quite the opposite of their usual way of doing things, this means that Capcom has a couple of games being developed for PC, with consoles ending up as the ones getting the ports.

He says “the pedigree of the team and the primary focus of the design is around the PC, and the largest forecast is on PC for at least one of these projects.”

It’s nice to know they’re at least doing it right, utilizing developers who really know their stuff when it comes to the platfom they’re working on. If you’re a console/arcade gamer like me, this is still no reason to get bent out of shape. Svensson is sure to note “That doesn’t mean that that content isn’t also going to show up on console, because it will.”

That’s good. Let’s not go too crazy. But what’s this “largest focus” talk? Do we have a Capcom MMO on the way? Svensson isn’t letting that cat out of the bag just yet, of course, but he says he and his team are very excited for whatever it is, and I’m interested to find out what they’re up to myself.
