While Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network enthusiasts are eagerly awaiting the release ofBionic Commando:Rearmed, what are the chances of the original version hitting the Virtual Console? The highly-regarded classic would undoubtedly be a big seller, so why haven’t we heard anything about that possibility?

Bionic Commando:Rearmedproducer Ben Judd has come clean on the subject, stating in aninterview with IGNthatBionic Commandoon the Virtual Console “couldn’t happen.” He then goes on to say, “I’ve tried to hit every single angle I can, I’ve pushed this as a new franchise. If it’s not on the Virtual Console, you may bet there’s a reason for it.”
