After news in March that theOnimushafilm had been put on indefinite hold, I pretty much gave up hope of seeing the film, but it seems its been given a second chance after all. According toCapcom’s US blog, an ad celebrating Capcom’s 25th anniversary had some interesting tidbits at the bottom — a release date of 2009 for theClock Towerfilm and 2011 forOnimusha.

Christophe Gans seems to still be in charge of theOnimushaadaption, whileMartin Weisz remains in charge ofClock Tower. I’m as sketch as ever about games being made into big Hollywood productions, but these are two I would at least give a chance. Not to mention, Gans is the only one who I felt was able to communicate what the game experience was like in hisSilent Hilladaption.
