A BritishHeavy Raincommercial that details the “store robbery” scene and the various ways in which players can experience it (even though the scene always ends the same way) has been the subject of complaints by clucking busybodies with nothing better to do. Surprisingly, however, Britain’s Advertising Standards Authority has shown some balls andnotaccepted the complaints.

The 38 wankers who whined about it claim that the commercial was aired at a time when young children could have watched it (because lazy British parents rely on the so-called “9pm watershed” to tell them when to send kids to bed even though most of them let the little bastards stay up late anyway) and that it “glamorized” violence, because apparently portraying an armed robbery as a bad thing is glamorous. Well, it would look that way if you’re a f*cking idiot.

The ASA explained that the ads were “unlikely to be seen to be encouraging or glamorising violence in a harmful way, or to be likely to cause serious or widespread offence.” It also added that the commercials were broadcast in acceptable timeslots. Three of four ads were aired after 7:30pm, while another was shown past the magical 9pm timeslot, when all children in the UK suddenly fall asleep.
