Rocksteady Studios is already hard at work on the sequel toBatman: Arkham Asylum(I hope to hell they don’t just call it “Batman: Arkham Asylum 2”). But thanks to alistingunearthed by aJoystiq tipsterfrom the British Board of Film Classification (BBFC) — yeah, I don’t get it either; I thoughtPEGI would be assuming game rating dutiesin the UK — it looks like a Game of the Year edition ofArkham Asylumis on the way. And why not? It was certainly anominee for Destructoid’s Game of the Year 2009.

GOTY versions tend to collect previously released extra content into one simple, regular- or low-priced package, and while the BBFC listing mentions nothing specific, Joystiq speculates that anArkham AsylumGOTY edition would include:

But if this GOTY edition sells for $59.99, it sure wouldn’t be a very good deal, since onlyoneof those pieces of content (“Crime Alley”) technically cost money. (On the other hand, consider something like theFallout 3GOTY Edition, which included a full $50 worth of DLC on the $60 disc). We’ll have to wait to hear back from Warner Bros. and Eidos to find out what the deal is. In any case, if the price is right, is this something you might be interested in?

[Update:How could I forget? Commenter ‘z0mbiew0lf’ mentions The Joker, who was, of course, playable in the Challenge Mapsexclusively on the PlayStation 3. The GOTY Edition could include that, too! -Samit]
