It’s Wednesday, and if you live in New York City, you should rush down tonight toThe Tank’s monthly film series,New York Experimental, for the premiere of the short film,NightSide. Directed by Paul Owens of2 Player Productions(known for their work,“Play,” A Video Game Movie, and the upcomingBlip Festival 2006documentary), and featuring six new tracks by banjo-toting chiptunes artistBud Melvin, the film is described as:

A quasi-western adventure film with an underlying sense of dread and an experimental edge. The film is set far in the past and follows a young orphan (known simply as “the boy”) as he leaves his dwelling deep in the woods for the first time. Along the way he encounters many people, most of them no longer living.
