I’ve been a champion for Capcom’sDark Voidsince I saw it early last year. Combining Airtight Studios’ air-combat pedigree with a jet-pack and some machine guns? Sold.

But this 8-bit concept for the title that Capcom’s cooked up for April Fools’ day is as glorious — if not more so — than the version that actually hits PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC later this year. They’ve given the title a retro makeover, complete with a classic 8-bit title screen, a familiar Mega Man-esque sprite of the game’s main character, and a remix of the game’s main theme.
