3D Realms has confirmed that unlikeDuke Nukem Forever, the Xbox Live Arcade version ofDuke Nukem 3Dis finishedand due for release soon. A price point has been hinted at also, along with a list of achievements.
“We officially passed final cert on our first try Friday, August 15th,” stated 3D Realms’ George Broussard. When mentioning a price point, George said only that it had been discussed, and the game would cost “what you would expect.”
Also revealed were the game’s 12 Achievements, some of which fall in line withDuke Nukem‘s traditionally high-brow and subtle approach to humor. You can, for example, gain 10 Gamerscore for stepping in a pile of poo, or giving a tip to a stripper. All typically intellectual and introspective stuff that should really add a level of depth to this engaging, emotional experience.
