at what theKing of Kong: a Fistful of Quartersmovie is going to be like a few weeks ago. After watching that trailer, I thought maybe the movie would show people a unique side to classic gaming. Watching this newest clip though has killed a little piece of my soul.
This leaked clip of one of the scenes from the movie introduces Mark “Piger” Alpiger, a late bloomer who is 43-years-old. Piger holds the record title toCrystal Castles. In fact, he’s so good at the game, he can play it with hisfeet. Not only that, he’s socool, he abbreviates game names:
“It’s notMarble Madness, it’sMarble. It’s notCrystal Castles, it’sCrystal. It’s notPaper Boy, it’sPaper. (Looks at someone off screen) I don’t know, do you sayPaperorPaper Boy?”
If you’ve managed to get beyond this part of the clip without dying from laughter, Piger goes on to describe his hate of “suits with low brain power”, how long he’s been playing, and how he discovered that weight lifting gloves work great playing withMarbleand other arcade games.
