I will never, ever understand people who cheat at videogames. I’m god awful at first-person shooters in multiplayer, but that doesn’t drive me to go and cheat in order to do whatever it is you do after you’ve won by cheating. Also, chances are that if you cheat your sh*t is going to messed up. Case in point:Bungie just reset the credits on 15,000Halo: Reachcheaters.

The studio also implemented a one day credit earning ban on those approximately 15,000 cheaters. Bungie did this not only because these people needed to be punished, but also in order to “ensure that recipients receive an in-game notification of the action taken.” The resets went into effect last night and were mainly focused on “an exploit that allowed players to complete a Challenge 20+ times via itentional network manipulation (i.e., disconnects.).”

Don’t think that the doling out of punishments is over yet either. Bungie is planning a more comprehensive pass later on in the week once it knows that its automated banning system (we call ours Hamza) is workingcorrectly.
