Personafans rejoice! Katsura Hashino, Director ofShin Megami Tensei: Persona 4,has confirmed that a new game in the Persona series is on the way. In fact, his team is preparing to start work on the game as we speak! Hashino confirmed they were about to begin development in a recentDengeki PlayStationinterview. No platform or details were released. All we know is thatPersona 5is definitely a thing that is happening. Until now, we’d heard plenty of rumors about the game, including that it will be a PlayStation 3 release....

The game formerly known asPixelJunk Lifelikeshall now be referred to asPixelJunk 4am. Man, I don’t think I’ve even been up that late in years. I understand that GameStop means well with all these preorders bonuses, but when it comes to this latest one for the upcoming Wii gameA Boy and His Blob, well, it just seems like it could have been better. If you preorder the game through them, you get this Blob stress ball, which as the right face but somehow looks more like an egg that someone drew a face on with a marker....

As Destructoid’s resident puzzle game whore (mind you, I’m not good at them, talk to Topher or Nick about that), I’m already chomping at the bit forSquishy Tank. In this game you squish little tanks to push colored blocks while working against a clock, a cute twist on the match-three puzzle game. After each cleared level in story mode, you’ll unlock a Squishy Tank cutscene. Natsume has taken the Japanese game and its cutscenes and translated them for this US release....

To the reader who recentlyexpressed interestin waiting for a Game of the Year edition ofRed Dead Redemption: do it! Based on a BBFC listing, one such retail package is on the way. The ratings board says it’ll include the ridiculous “Undead Nightmare” downloadable content, as you might expect, when the game releases on September 16 in the United Kingdom. At least, that’s what Eurogamer is reporting; I couldn’t find the specific listing myself, so it must have been hidden....

The game is — somewhat surprisingly — coming to WiiWare this fall. It started life as an independently developed 8-bit open-world affair cleverly calledGrand Theftendo.
