I like being able to schedule my time. It’s very important to me. There was a time when there was an endless list of WiiWare games that I was looking forward to. Now, that list is shrinking, as many of the games that I wanted have come and gone. All that’s left isSuper Meat Boy,Bit.Trip 5and6,And Yet it Moves,La-Mulana, andRetro City Rampage. That list may be smaller, but it’s still packed with power. Out of all of those games,Retro City Rampageis one of the most exciting, though it’s also one of the least well known....

Yes, the insane price wars currently being waged among Britain’s retailers have taken ahugeturn for the cheap, as the UK’s lower middle class Mecca of frozen chicken, aka Sainsbury’s, is going to drop the Xbox 360 Arcade to£99.97! Nintendo’s Wii will also have its price cut to £149.97 while the 60GB 360 is going to be reduced to £139....

The great thing about conventions is that news moves at lightning pace: this morning, Jimbrought you guys a new gameplay videofromThe Behemoth‘s “Game #3.” Well, a few more have hit the internet since then (thanks,GameSpot), and I’m happy to share them with you. In the four videos embedded after the break, there seem to be at least three different game types: ASmash Brothers-like deathmatch; a graffiti mode that involves coloring blocks and collecting gold coins; and some sort of angel-basketball game you saw in Jim’s earlier post....

Here’s more cosplay shots from the floor of the 2011 San Diego Comic-Con. As always, it’s nearly impossible to get around on the first weekend day of the event. You have to waddle to progress through crowds, and getting elbowed in the side is a regular thing. Still, there’s cosplay to be found. My favorite cosplayer so far is the above dog, named Chopper. He was on his own motorcycle, and it looked like he was driving it as it was being controlled remotely....

As someone who was a rather large fan ofMercs 2: World in Flames, I’m cautiously optimistic that the good people at Pandemic will be able to take what they learned and apply it towards making the next game just as fun, minus all of those wacky glitches....
