Every time I see an email in my inbox from Fuzzyeyes, I get all excited, because it usually brings some great Edge of Twilight news with it. Today we have a small handful of screenshots from the sweet looking steampunk action title. The game is really coming along, looking very impressive despite the small size of the developer. This is one of my most eagerly anticipated titles of the year and I really hope we get news on a release date soon....

With six classes announced, things have looked pretty good for LucasArts’ and BioWare’s Star Wars: The Old Republic. After all, with Troopers, Jedi Knights, and Smugglers for the Galactic Republic, and Bounty Hunters, Sith Warrior and Imperial Agents for the Sith Empire, there are plenty of character choices for gamers to rock out with. Of course, knowing the nature of gamers, this is never enough for us, so what’s to happen for our picky and whiny needs?...
It’s been delayed (sort of), anticipated, and hell, they even made a wireless force feedback wheel to support it and now, at last,Forza Motorsport 2gets a release date — well, a release month. According to a press release that hit virtual mailboxes today,Forza 2isconfirmedfor a May 2007 release. But wait … there’s more! Not only did the folks behindForza 2decide to give us a release month, but they also got somewhat detailed with a few aspects of the game....
I know you all misread that asiCarlyand got excited, but I’m afraid you’re about to be disappointed. This is not yet another Nickelodeon poptart vehicle, but an art game about everybody’s favorite cautionary tale, the story of Icarus. Like most art games, this isn’t something I’d want to spend any money on, but it’s worth picking up this week as it’s free for the next few days.iCarus(iOS) does little to break the stereotypical view of the “art” game, so you can expect plenty of vague messages and minimalistic graphics....
The summer is a magical time for many people, but not gamers. Only a handful of must-have games come out during this period, and then we get an insane surge of good titles during the next few months. Not long ago,BahamutZero countedthe number of games he’d be buying from August 16 to September 26 and declared: “Let the ramen feast begin!” I wholeheartedly agree with that sentiment. And let’s not forget about October, which is mindblowingly packed with solid releases; we’re going to need to start saving up, and fast....
In Canada, we have what was once a boring, government-funded channel called the CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation), but in the last year, I’ve seen this channel completely rethink its programming and now it holds some of my favorite programs likeThe Hourwith George Stroumboulopoulos, a great news show that is funny and informative; andUnderdogs, a show that helps the little guy get justice from the big companies that screw them over....
This is simply depressing. The pathetic treatment of videogames in Germany has already jumped the shark several times, with the German authorities aping their intolerant forefathers and banning anything they don’t like in the name of social justice. Now things have somehow managed to getworse, withone German groupinstigating what could only be described as a modern-day book burning for what Germany calls “Killer Games.” Aktionsbündnis Amoklauf Winnenden, or Action Alliance has set up a “Killer Game Drive” that will take place outside the Stuttgart State Opera on October 17....

The original cabinet was a hoot, blending satisfyingly visceral gunplay with a boatload of variety in mission structure and mixing things up with all manner of different gameplay mechanics to add a freshness not often seen in on-rails shooters....
Microsoft demagogue Aaron Greenberg has cast a critical eye of PlayStation Move’s upcoming library of titles — and made sure to state that Kinect is brilliant, of course. The executive in charge of shenanigans has a big problem with Move inserting waggle into traditional controller-based games. “I think that most of the experiences designed for Kinect were designed from the ground up,” he claims. “The difference is, it seems, a lot of the games made for Move are really controller-based games that [developers] added the Move functionality to....
Halo: Reachlaunched at 12am this morning, and already the servers are being infested with dirty rotten cheaters. According to Bungie, a relatively small percentage of people boughtReachjust so they could break the game and be assholes, but the developer is getting ready to ban anybody caught on sight. “We are already aware of a number of nefarious deeds by a very small percentage of early adopters and we have already been taking action,” warns Bungie....
Like it or not, Sega has the license for the upcomingThormovie. So you know what that means —Thor: The Video Gamebased on the movie based on the comic book. Is it going to be any good? Sega’s history with another Marvel film property,Iron Man, doesn’t bode well for the mighty Thor. Sega had two chances with that one, creating two games, and missing the mark (mostly) with both. Sure, the sequel was an improvement, but that’s not saying much....
