A fancy box for your Xbox

XB Elegant Edition is a case for your Xbox 360 that actually makes it look like a box. A high-end A/V component, if you will. That weird letter I/pillar/pillow-looking thing not cutting it for you? Maybe this Sweedish-designed box will help things out. Inside the futurist box is three 120mm fans to keep your system from red ringing, and they say that the larger open area keeps airflow constant and helps limit some of the noise....

A Kingdom for Keflings shows off some Kingdoms and some Keflings in this trailer

Ninja Bee very kindly let us know that a trailer for its upcoming XBLA title,A Kingdom for Keflings, was available for viewing, so feast your eyes on the first game designed for use with the New Xbox Experience and its originally inventive avatar system. InA Kingdom for Keflings, your avatar becomes a “giant” who looks after these tiny buggers and builds them their own city. The game definitely looks set to tap into this mystical “casual” demographic that Microsoft somehow expects toflockto the 360 this Christmas, so in that sense, it definitely serves its purpose....

A look at the many different versions of Bayonetta

Andriasang brings ussome video and images of what Bayonetta looked like before she became the vixen we all now know. The video comes via a recent MTV special on the game where we learn that there were over 100 designs of Bayonetta before they picked the final model. The MTV special above also shows Bayonetta speaking in Japanese, something that’s not in the final game. I still find it odd that the Japanese version doesn’t feature any Japanese voice actors, but thankfully the English voice actors are pretty decent....

Abstract oddity Linger in Shadows hits the European PS3 this week

I don’t know what this is, but it’scoming to European PS3s this weekand it’s weird. It’s being billed as more of an “interactive experience” than a game, and the “player” uses the Sixaxis to work with a looping video clip. Tilting the controller, you may manipulate time in order to find five sigils. Once that is done, the story advances.Yeah … this is definitely a … thing. A thing is definitely the thing that this thing is … or something....

Assault mode unlocked for Section 8: Prejudice

Across PC and Xbox 360,Section 8: Prejudiceplayers have earned a collective, merciless ten million kills. I love it when a community can truly come together to achieve a common goal. As promised, TimeGate has unlocked Assault mode now that this feat has been accomplished. Assault involves the capture and defense of control points in a team-on-team environment. Nothing too fancy, but more content can hardly be complained about. Also, if you happen to play the Xbox 360 version on Sunday between 5:00 and 8:00 PM EST, there’s a good chance you’ll run into folks from TimeGate and Microsoft....

Awww: Adorable Okami/Okamiden statues

You don’t need to have an appreciation forOkami,Okamiden, or even cel-shadery to get a kick out of these sweet statues. Crafted by Tomopop user Somakun, this lovely pair was entered into the Anime Expo 2010 Art Show — I think the ribbon above says it all. I especially love how the foliage is able to capture the essence of the games’ distinct visual style. As someone who typically could care less for trees, especially those creepy ones that have faces andgobble you upin the night, you know I’m impressed....

Blacksite: Area 51 demo hits XBL, sans solid frame rate

A demo for Midway’s upcoming first-person shooter,Blacksite: Area 51, hit the Xbox 360 marketplace a few days ago. I was slow to grab it, as I had chance to play the gamea few months back at Midway’s Gamer Day in NYC. The demo that’s available is more or less identical to the version I had previously played, with a few exceptions. A menu and options have been added for public consumption, for one....
