New Dante’s Inferno dev diary is full of Lust

The newDante’s Infernodev diary shows us the oh so sexy second layer of hell known as Lust. We get to see what the environments look like and what it could of have looked like. One thing that I love seeing is concept art and I enjoy seeing the really f**ked up character designs that almost were. New DS horror game is part Ghostbusters, part Where’s Waldo

Dimple Entertainment’sMiteha Ikenai (Don’t Look)is said to be a portable horror game. With scribbling. Ooh, scary. Theupcoming summer Japanese releasehas two gameplay modes — one where you get your gas station lottery card scratch on to uncover paranormal activity in photographs, and the other, Noroi’s House mode, where you attempt to remove ghosts from a residence. Capcom has released a Leipzig-flavoredMotoGP ’08trailer, in addition to a bunch of images for the upcoming madness-inducing motorcycle racer. The last game in the series I played wasMotoGP ’06and I must say, just thinking about it makes my blood boil. It’s not that the game was terrible or anything, it’s just that A) there’s a large learning curve B) it’s not forgiving in the least bit and C) I’m generally bad at simulation racing games....

New PSP firmware patches hole; retailers prepare for spike in Lumines trade-ins

In an attempt to foil hackers and unsavory pirates, Sony has released a new PSP firmware update (3.51). The firmware updates security (Sony’s, not yours) by overwriting the exploit which resulted in amassive surge ofLuminessaleson Amazon.com. The good news for PSP owners is that (at the time), this update is not mandatory, as it adds no new functionality. It can safely be assumed that Sony will likely follow this firmware with a “mandatory” update that will add some small, slick feature so that even the most callous of pirates (and upstanding homebrew programmers, of course) will be inclined to participate....

With the release of the upcoming movie, however, the good ‘ol days may make a welcomed return. Such is also the case with what Electronic Arts is trying to accomplish with the newly-aquired Simpsons license.Gamespotwas able to get a first glimpse, and really, it all sounds good in the hood to me:...

October NPD: Sales down all around, Ucharted 2 number 1

Sales for videogames were down 19% from the month for September. Plus the release of the biggest PS3 exclusive of the year wasn’t enough to keep the PS3 at the top. It’s not all bad news though! Hardware:The Wii retook the top spot in sales this week kicking the PlayStation 3 down to the third spot followed by the Xbox 360. No surprise there as the Wii dropped to $199....
