Monday Mind Teasers: Walking In Circles

On ourprevious flash adventurewe ran into yet another locked room and most of us promptly conquered the “escape the room” in record time. However, this time around the block won’t be as easy, and will constitute of many more times spinning around looking for the exit in a much more imaginative environment. One of my gripes with all games of this genre is a cliché complaint with a cliché game mechanic: they need to think outside the box....

NCsoft: Sony’s Home app won’t sell PS3s

Thomas Bidaux, NCsoft’s director of product development, thinks that while Home is “very interesting,” it probably won’t cause PS3s to fly off the shelves. “One of the limitations is linked to the PlayStation 3 – so the success of Home is 100 percent tied to the PS3’s penetration into the market,” Bidaux said. “I don’t think you can say you will sell more PS3s because of Home, but if the PS3 had the right penetration in the market, then yes – Home will be very interesting....

New Final Fantasy XIII trailer is live, includes in-game footage

I have to admit that after not connecting withFinal Fantasy XIIas I hoped I might, I lost a lot of enthusiasm for the Final Fantasy series. You meet people all the time who say there hasn’t been a good Final Fantasy sinceVII, and while I personally loved several of the games following it, I definitely sensed that there was some spark missing as of late. That being said, it’s hard to know whether I’m experiencing a Pavlovian reaction over thebrand spanking newFinal Fantasy XIIItrailerthat just went live on the game’s Japanese website, or whether I am really am loving what I’m seeing, but either way I think I just tapped into my sense of excitement for this game, and that’s a bit of a thrill when you have loved games in this series as much as I have....

New TNA iMPACT! trailer and screens help you ’embrace the pain’

I think my head just exploded. This new trailer forTNA iMPACT!put together for Leipzig Games Convention is packed with action. Thumping dance music, lots of explosions, a really excited guy with a deep voice telling us to “embrace the pain.” Kind of makes me want to hit someone with a steel ladder. Even if you’re not a wrestling fan, you have to admit that the game is looking pretty great. As the deep voiced guy reminds us, the gameispowered by Epic’s Unreal Engine 3....

InPhoto Clockyou get to put a clock face over the photographs you have taken with your DSi camera. No More Heroes 2 on sale at Amazon today

No More Heroeswas a passable game but had a lot of things I hated, such as the overworld, the driving and the overworld. The overworld was pretty crap as well, honestly. The sequel changes all of that. Now, my only real complaints are a couple of unreasonable boss fights and somewhat iffy platforming in a couple of special sections. That’s why I feel totally comfortable recommending that you buyNo More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggleon Amazon today....
