Checking out Sonic Free Riders for Kinect

Kinect is a real interesting beast. It’s easy to dismiss Microsoft’s attempt at full player immersion, but you have to try it out before rejecting the thing. You have to see with the right games too, as titles such asKinect Joy RideandKinect Adventures!don’t do much to sell the controller-free experience. It wasn’t until last week that I finally saw some of Kinect’s potential thanks to Sega showing usSonic Free Riders. Whereas I’m never sure whether I’m controlling the characters properly with the previously mentioned titles, I know for certain thatSonic Free Ridersis able to pick up my motions when it comes to the hoverboard controls....

Destructoid’s games of the week for 07-07-2025: Is this a cop out edition?

It’s a video. Watch it. Why? First, because I’m utterly fascinated with both foreign girlsANDspunky indie girls; Superbus lead Jennifer Ayache is the epitome of everything I love about women, and as soon as I’m done with this Cherry Coke, I’m going to make her my wife. Second, that video proves whyGuitar Hero IIItrumpsRock Bandin Ol’ Nexy’s Book o’ Games. Not only doesRBlose points for having fewer (good) tracks thanGHIII, butGHIIIis the first videogame in almost a decade to introduce me to a new artist who I immediately develop a strong desire to leave my country for....
