I’ll admit that I’m something of a weeaboo when it comes to RPGs — I generally prefer mine with a “J” in the front. Nevertheless,Nickand.tiff’srespective previews have gotten me pretty excited forFallout 3, and concept artist Adam Adamowicz’s developer diary has only boosted that excitement. His piece, prosaically titled “Conceptual Design“, illuminates the process of creating theFallout 3universe within a cohesive art direction. It seems that most of the art design focuses on highlighting the tension between pre- and post-apocalyptic society, exemplified, for example, in the Super Mutant’s armor: “I wanted recognizable elements twisted to a more violent purpose to reflect a sinister resourcefulness to surviving in a highly dangerous world,” writes Adamowicz....

Here are some new screens forNew Vegas. Look at how new they are. So shiny and new. They show off all sorts of weaponry and monsters, including a shot of a man striking another in the head with a golf club, which is cool for obvious reasons. Andrew Ryan would be proud. I can’t say I was ever truly impressed withFallout 3, but I’m still hopeful forNew Vegasas I always enjoy post-apocalyptic desert wandering....

Fat Princess. Now there’s a name I haven’t heard in a while. Are you folks still playing it these days? Titan Studios over on the PlayStation.Blogwants to remind usthat it will soon be time to boot the game up again. Next Thursday,Fat Princesswill be getting a free new map called New Pork (shown above), patch 1.03, and a playable demo. The extensive patch covers a number of things, from tighter character balance to scoring tweaks to a confetti effect when blood is turned off....

For Sony, it seems like titles in theFinal Fantasyseries and their console sales are forever intertwined. We saw it with the PlayStation andFinal Fantasy VII, and then later withFinal Fantasy Xand the PS2. And if hunches turn out to be true, the same has happened with the PS3 andFinal Fantasy XIII…or its demo. Sinobisays thatFinal Fantasy VII Advent Children Comlete‘s Blu-ray package may have pushed sales up to a record breaking 57,000 this past week, the launch week of the movie....
