The April 1st 2010MI6Game Marketing Conference will feature a keynote from Peter Dille, senior vice president of marketing and PlayStation Network at Sony Computer Entertainment America. Naturally, he is going to talk about the PlayStation Network in a his keynote “Redefining the Digital Living Room,” which will focus on using the service for living room content delivery. He says now that the living room marketspace is “truly anyone’s game.” That’s true....

Big changes came to SEGA this morning as the company moved forward with a restructuring plan. As of now SEGA’s San Francisco HQ has become the operating headquarters of SEGA’s digital division, a deliverer of everything digital for SEGA West. The European arm of SEGA, SEGA Europe, will now only focus on traditional, retail-based games. Before, both companies worked on digital and traditional games. As a result, employees became redundancies. The San Francisco branch saw 36 of its employees cut while SEGA Europe saw 37....

WithGod of War IIIandHeavy Rainset for release over the coming months, it can be easy to forget that Zipper Interactive has a pretty big game of its own headed to the PlayStation 3. That game isMAG, the highly ambitious 256-player FPS that is hitting shelves at the end of the month. Despite the fact it’s been somewhat overshadowed lately, Sony expects it to do very well. “MAG is a very important IP for us and definitely a key exclusive for PS3,” says UK product manager Phil Lynch....

I didn’t think it was possible to kill a Terminator machine. Then again, I’ve never had the opportunity to play as a rebel against the Cyberdyne Systenms machine insurgency. Tucked away in a ignored corner of TGS wasAstro Ranger, a rhythm action arcade game from Korea. I was immediately drawn to it. The art direction and general premise here is very reminiscent ofViewtiful Joe, which is a sure fire way to garner my affection. Starting up, you can chose between four different characters, a Japanese schoolgirl, a punk, a huge shirtless man, and a sexy American looking woman. From there, you pick a song, and then start taking on monsters of various sizes, ranging from little flying octopus to giant Kaiju....

The Behemoth (ofCastle Crashersfame) has another game in the works. According to a posting by Dan Paladinon the developer’s blog, the studio is currently “prototyping” a new title. Paladin wrote that it is “off to a very strong & solid start,” and people who have played it are digging it. The game’s substance, name, and platform are currently a mystery. Paladin suggested that The Behemoth might tease fans into a guessing game by periodically offering images....

Japan’s exclusive PS3 console sure is pretty. It’s a shame that this is a Japanese exclusive, as it would have finally made me break down and purchase a PS3. Oh well, I’ll still get the system whenGod of War IIIfinally comes out.
