Oh, marketing. Apparently, The Edinburgh Zoo has “teamed up” with Activision to promoteX-Men Origins: Wolverine. That picture only tells you half of the story. According to the press release, the Edinburgh Zoo also changed that poor little wolverine’s name to Logan out of “respect” for the mutant. We’re left in the dark as to how receptive he was to the name change, but we’re guessing he’s happy with it. Just look at how happy he is....

Now, Zenimax has filed trademarks for three titles — “Honest Hearts,” “Lonesome Road,” and “Old World Blues.” The first of the batch, “Honest Hearts,” was already referenced in not-so-hidden files. A folder called “honest hearts” contained a number of in-game graffiti textures not seen in Dead Money or New Vegas proper,[SPOILER AHEAD]with phrases like “Joshua Graham Lives,” “The Burned Man Walks,” and “Where’s New Canaan, Anyway....
Transformers: War for Cybertronis getting ludicrous amounts of playtime for me, and with such a promising multiplayer mode, I’m glad that High Moon Studios is going to support the game with patches. The only downside is that host migration still isn’t on the cards, which is arguably the biggest issue so far. High Moon announced the patch within the game itself via the online lobby’s news ticker. Details aren’t fully revealed, but we know that at least one host-related issue is being addressed — players will no longer lose XP if a host quits a match....

Sega’s hoping thatVirtua Fighter 5will find a following on Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network. The publisher has announced that it’ll be releasing the standaloneVirtua Fighter 5 Final Showdownfor Xbox 360 and PS3 next summer. The game is said to had ea “full overhaul” of the game’s fighting mechanics, including new balance, animations, new arenas, and a new fighter, Jean Kujo. New fighting mechanics appear to be geared towards newbies of the historically “hardcore” fighter....
It was really cool to see the Pink Knight (fromCastle Crashers) and the Ninja (fromN+) in the XBLA version of the game, but they didn’t play all that differently from Meat Boy. More so, they didn’t make the excruciating task of getting a 100% on the game (and getting that final unlockable character) all that much easier. That’s why I’m not that sad to see them swapped out for these new characters in the PC version of the game....

We’ve been watching this very closely and are always impressed by how pretty the game looks and how wonderfully it performs....
