Arkham Asylum publisher totally cool with its delay

How quickly we forget — Rocksteady’sBatman: Arkham Asylumwas originally supposed to be released in June. When we found out that it was being delayed, we cried. The game was eventually released on August 25; that’s like, two whole months! Gamers might have been a bit worked up about it, but the game’s publishers, Eidos and Warner Bros., were cool as cucumbers. Rocksteady’s Sefton Hill toldKotakuthat the publishers were fine with the extra time....

Assassin’s Creed iPhone is not the ‘new episode’ of AC II

In mid-January Ubisoft had us scratching our heads when it announced that anew episode ofAssassin’s Creed II, featuring multiplayer, would hit in its 2010-2011 fiscal year. Earlier yesterday, we stroked our scalps raw with thereveal ofAssassin’s Creed II: Multiplayer, an iPhone title. Was this what Ubisoft was talking about? No, it isn’t. Speaking toMTV Multiplayer, a Ubisoft representative confirmed as much with a simple “Nope,” which is just fine by us....

There always is, isn’t there? This game is going to be a third-person action-adventure title with both splitscreen and online co-op play. So far so good! Battle of the graphics: PS3 versus 360

Gamespotrecently compared the graphics of seven different games, all of which are available for both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. There are roll-over images for each game, so you will be able to witness the duel in real time. Not surprisingly, the 360 managed to trump the PS3 graphically in most of the titles. Battlefield: Bad Company video goes for massive lulz, falls a little short

The above video for EA’sBattlefield: Bad Companymay have gotten a few chuckles from me, but this is the Internet — a place where people are accustomed to laughing so hard that their asses literallyfall off. If this clip seems at all familiar to you, perhaps you saw Valve’s “meet the (insertTeam Fortress 2class here)”installment of videosfrom a while back. They are incredibly similar to one another in theory, but if you’ve witnessed the two videos for yourself, you can easily see who the victor is....

BioShock 2 is cheap on Amazon today

I’ve mentioned before that I quite enjoyBioShock 2. The gameplay feels so much more interesting than it did the first go around. I really hope that people who were appalled at the idea of returning to Rapture have given it a chance because there’s a great game there. And, today, it’s on sale at Amazon. $29.99 will score the game for PS3 or Xbox 360. A PC version is $25.99. And, if you want that very cool special edition box with the posters and soundtrack on vinyl, you can even get that for a fairly reasonable $65....

Brink gets SMART with classes

It’s time for the fifth Get SMARTBrinktrailer. Today, Splash Damage takes us on a tour through the game’s classes. Classes are actually mandatory for the completion of objectives, so some players will have to change their class if a team is imbalanced and doesn’t feature the right guy for the job. Aside from that, the classes operate how one might think. Soldiers are about ammunition and explosions, Operatives are about hacking and disguise, Medics revive and Engineers engineer....
