Two new Valentine’s Day themed clothing options are available on Xbox Live. The men’s formal suit and women’s little red dress aren’t brimming with the holiday spirit. Apparently, Microsoft didn’t receive the memo that St. Valentine’s Day “stuff” needs cherubs or else it’s not any good. I wrote that memo last year, after I was burned by my girlfriend. I got her a bag of Jelly Beans at the last minute (part of my charm) and she successfully ignored my presence for two weeks....

In a financial update today, Ubisoft has revealed that “a new episode ofAssassin’s Creed” will be released in the companies 2010-11 fiscal year (which runs from April 2010 through March 2011). The kicker — it will be the first game in the series to feature an online multiplayer mode. AnAssassin’s Creedfollow up isn’t surprising — Ubisoft is expecting that the game will “reach 9 million sell-in units by the end of March 2010....

Nintendo’s lawyers are going to be earning their keep once more as Nintendo are being sued over the Wiiyetagain,Law360 reports(reg. required). This time the lawsuit comes from ThinkOptics, creators of the Wavit remote. According to ThinkOptics, Nintendo knowingly infringed their patent, “Electronic Equipment for Handheld Vision Based Absolute Pointing System” (U.S. Patent Number 7,796,116), issued on Sept. 14 2010. They claim that Nintendo already knew, or should have known, that it was infringing....

Chatting with Chris Foster between the songs ofGreen Day: Rock Band, the question of DLC came up. As Project Director of the game, he would be the go to man to answer these questions. Everyone wants to know, will more Green Day be coming to the game? Unfortunately, it looks like those who want even more songs from the albums Nimrod, Insomniac and Warning will be disappointed. According to Foster, other than the 21st Century Breakdown DLC currently available for download forRock Band, it does not bode well that more Green Day DLC will be coming....

Graphics card and processor makerNvidiawas named the Company of the Year byForbesmagazine. Forbes lets the gamers and geeks worry about things like SLI and GPUs; they’re more concerned with how much money Nvidia is making. They now own 62% of the graphics market, and that’s up from 57% a year ago. In fact, since Nvidia went public in 1999, shares have risen 21-fold, and are now quickly moving into Apple range....

Rockstar has released the first official trailer for their upcoming Nintendo DS exclusiveGrand Theft Auto: Chinatown Warsand … it’s pretty awesome. For one, it features the premiere of a collaboration between MF Doom and Ghostface Killah called “Like a Renegade.” If you don’t know how bad-ass that is, I’m not even going to explain it. But it is. Electronic Arts has released some new trailers for the upcoming PC expansion,Command and Conquer Red Alert 3: Uprising. As expected, it shows off some of the new maps, some of the new units, and clips from the game’s over-the-top live-action cut-scenes.It looks great, and full of action that might catch the attention of gamers who aren’t even fans of real-time strategy games.
