Ready to fight some nasty germs? I can’t say much for whatever already lives in your bathroom, but as far as WiiWare is concerned, Mario has you covered. A video on the newly launchedNintendo Channelreveals that the newest incarnation of Dr. Mario will be calledDr. Mario Online RXand will cost 1000 Wii points ($10) to download when it hits North America. There was no official release date announced, although the news will surely start to fly as the highly anticipated WiiWare launches this May 12th....

Electronic Arts, a company famous for persisting with the hatedSecuROM DRM, has been cleaning up its act recently, and nowhere is this more apparent then with the upcomingDragon Age 2. In fact, the anti-theft measures included in the BioWare sequel are damn reasonable. The digital version of the game will use Steam’s DRM system and nothing else. You download via Steam, you simply deal with what Valve’s always done. The retail version has no installation limit and no disk check....

The reason why this is crazy news is becauseDynasty Warriors Gundamis a collaboration between Koei and Namco Bandai. Namco Bandai is, of course, one of the worst nickel-and-dimers out there when it comes to downloadable content, and Koei isn’t exactly known for ignoring a money maker. All that said,Dynasty Warriors Gundam 2is getting free DLC missions, which are currently available on Xbox Live and the PSN. Since the game is not yet out on Western soil, these DLC missions are for Japanese accounts only....

Gladiator A.D. is what you think it is. You control a hardened warrior equipped with a sword and shield. But it’s the little things that make High Voltage’s upcoming Wii-exclusive fighter stand out. My demo of the game wasn’t as long as I desired — and the game is still fairly early — but I was surprised by two things: the simplicity of the controls and the depth of the single player campaign considering the game’s genre....

I love it when a good rumor comes true. Earlier today I watched a demonstration for LucasArtsSecret of Monkey Island: Special Edition. It’s a beautiful remake — completely 3D — of the LucasArts classic. If you’re aMonkey Islandpurist, relax; the game you remember and worship is intact. you’re able to switch to the classic view (with crappy cursor support) at any time with the press of a button. But you probably won’t want to do that; the environments and characters are hand-drawn, which I thought odd considering the game is hitting current hardware....

Imagine going to sleep and finding yourself in a dream where you are hurtling through space. As you go flying past stars and planets, you realize the stars are made of crystallized sugar and the planets are tremendous malted milk balls. Tiny creatures float between the stars which kiss your face as you go by and their kisses taste of white chocolate strawberries....

While promising PlayStation Move inBioShock Infinite, designer Ken Levine has also said that his studio will support Sony’s next generation portable system. He did not give details of any games, but we know it’ll beBioShock-related.

With Viacom’srecent announcementthat they plan to sell off music game pioneers Harmonix, the question of who might pick up the studio is still open to wide speculation. One of the most feasible theories has been that Electronic Arts could just go ahead and swallow theRock Bandmachine whole on the basis of their existing distribution deal for the game. It seems that John Riccitiello is just too much of a cheapskate, however....

It will be out exclusively on XBLfor one weekstarting on Monday, January 26.
