Destructoid reader lolipantsu tipped me off about today’s freebie, a rather cool hack n’ slash game by the name ofWarrior Nation – Blade. It’s a simple sidescrolling game in which you walk around slicing up enemies with your big sword and using magic spells. The game gets a bit repetitive, but it looks good, has nice music, and the gameplay does what it needs to do. For free, it’s nothing to be sniffed at, so make sure you pick it up while it lasts....

Namco wasn’t kidding when they saidGalaga Remixwould be available soon. Yesterday, Namco released the arcade shooter on the iPhone App Store for the promised price of $5.99. Galaga Remixincludes two versions ofGalaga: the arcade version that stole a vast sum of coinage from my pockets, and a new remixed version. The remix version has updated backgrounds, more bosses, more power-ups, a free play mode that allows you to play the levels you’ve completed again and finally, “dual-fighter” mode....

Frankly, I have never gotten what the big deal is with Radiohead. The band has always just been “there” for me, but apparently it’s actually the greatest musical group known to mankind and I am very wrong to just think they’re okay. Anyway, I am saying this because the “Games of the week” feature for today was just mostly a bunch of editors yammering on about them. Do you like Radiohead?...

I know, I know. How is this news, right? News or not, GameStop has said that the 2008 holiday season will be just as Wii-challenged as the last couple have been. “I’ve never seen this type of demand before. I know they’re making more, but we’re still short like everybody else. I think we’ll have a continued shortage this Christmas,” said GameStop CEO Dan DeMatteo toGameDaily. “I don’t see a near-term end in sight for Wii shortages, not unless they really ramp up supply....

After what must have felt like an interminable wait for European PS3 users who’ve watched the content get released exclusively on another console, followed by having to wait longer than North America (albeit only three days) but Episodes from Liberty City is almost available in Europe. This is their celebratory trailer. I very much enjoyed these two little slices of DLC forGrand Theft Auto IV. In fact, I found them to be vastly superior to the original game, mostly down to them being of an appropriate length to sit and enjoy without having to make a full-time job out of it....

Here’s probably the last thing you were expecting to see this morning. So apparently, Guile’s theme fits in just about any situation. There’sa YouTube channeldedicated to mashing up the epic theme song with scenes from movies, games and TV shows. For the most part, yeah, it actually does fit. Fablegames are often surrounded by whirlwinds of hype and more information than our tiny minds can posibly process, but it seems that Lionhead has taken to the opposite extreme withFable III. We knownothingand these tiny, one-at-a-time concept images only serve to illustrate how little we know. Once again, only a single piece of concept art has been released for the upcoming Xbox 360 game. As you might expect, it doesn’t show off very much....

Headline says it all for this one. The footage comes from the Igromir Game Expo, which takes place in Moscow every November. I’ve never heard of it, but evidently its the biggest game expo in Eastern Europe. I’ve only played an hours worth ofDragon Ageso I’m leaving it up to you guys to discuss the changes you see. The full five minutes have plenty of action in them so I’m sure there’s plenty in there to pick apart and judge....

I don’t know who it was that came up with the idea to paint a little fly or dot or target on the inside bowl of your average public urinal, but he (or she) was agenius. It took advantage of man’s need to urinate, and combined it with man’s desire to direct the stream somewhere,anywhere. Pure inspiration, I say. And Sega’s taking it to the next level, with the greatest games hardware advancement they’ve made since the Dreamcast: the Toylet....

Just like Papa Smurf, you have your favorites. you may’t help it. You can love them all (or say you do), but you can’t properly show your love equally. That’s how it went down last night when all the news and announcements from Nintendo on the 3DS console and its games dropped. From our news postings last night, you might have a good idea of what games you’ll pick up for the 3DS after its March 2011 release date, but we didn’t want to leave the lesser loved game announcements out....

I almost want to say that the DS is saturated with RPG titles, but with so many of them being really quite good, would it be fair to use a normally derogatory term? It’s getting really hard to keep track of them though. Helping toadd to the shuffleis Namco Bandai with a brand new action RPG calledDestiny Links. The game is intended for up to four players via use of the DS’ wireless communications....

It’s no secret that the folks at Insomniac Games are some great chaps. Recently, they were named one of thetop companies to workfor in the United States, an amazing feat for any videogame developer (usually known for pulling the wings off of their employees). And just by looking at the impressiveResistance: Fall of Manand the upcomingRatchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction, you can tell you that they know how to work with that tough nut to crack, the PlayStation 3....
