Spend the weekend popping balloons with BEES in Bloons 2

Bloons 2is out, and it’s decidedly more of the same awesome balloon-popping, madness-inducing fun that the original flash game was. About as simple a concept as you can get, but the execution is perfect. Apparently the first game was played more than one billion times, which sounds about right. All that really needs to be said aboutBloons 2is that you get to directly control bees. BEES!

Stop to take a breath in BioShock 2’s ocean scenes

Things can get, er, hecticinBioShock 2. You’re a prototype Big Daddy, upsetting the new Rapture equilibrium established after the first game. The baddies — the Splicers — aren’t happy to see you again and don’t have a problem trying to kill you. Needless to say, you’ll be smashing quite a few of those poor (and vicious souls) as you progress through the game. But it’s not all heavy action and Plasmid slinging....

Ten Afghan soldiers killed in suicide b … oh, look, Multiball!

One of the strangest (and strangely disturbing) things to ever come from a respected (?) news source has to be MSNBC’s Flash gameNewsBreaker. The online game, which plays just like the classic gameBreakout, can be found on the news channel’sWeb site. The concept is simple: move your paddle left and right to keep the bouncing ball in play, knocking colored bricks away for points and the occasional power-up. What is so odd is every so often a current news story pulled directly from the MSNBC feeds falls from one of the destroyed blocks....

TGS 07: The Cattle Car to TGS

I am standing on the platform of the Rapid Shogo line, stretching flat and straight from the heart of Tokyo to the remote district of Kahimakuhari. A throng of flesh compresses me from every side: one hundred million Japanese gamers who need to be squeezed onto this one train to go to TGS. Today is the first day the convention is open to the public. Behind the crowd, a row of subway cops in meticulously fascist uniform shouts fierce instructions through a bull horn at the backs of the heads of theotakubefore them: cosplayers and booth babes, Japanese and gaijin, fat and thin… it doesn’t matter....

The Dishwasher: Vampire Smile hits XBLA early April

Ska Studio’sThe Dishwasher: Vampire Smileis hitting Xbox Live Arcade on April 6, if the above image didn’t give all of that away. If I didn’t have to add that it’ll cost 800 MS Points, that image would have written the story for me. Not exactly, because there’s more! The Last Remnant teaser trailer is a trailer that teases

I’ve been pretty disappointed withInfinite Undiscoverythus far, so I now look to Square Enix’sothernon-Final Fantasyconsole RPG,The Last Remnant, to fill that JRPG void in my life.Like thelast teaser, this new one reveals very little. At least there is some actual imagery this time. UnlikeInfinite Undiscovery, Square Enix is taking the development reigns on this one, so hopefully it will actually turn out to be halfway decent. Square Enix certainly expects good things from this, the first Squeenix project to feature Epic’s Unreal Engine 3....
