After months of uncertainty,poorly timed beta invites, and well donecinematic trailers, a release date has finally been confirmed for the next entry in the Tom Clancy series.Ghost Recon: Future Soldierwill be hitting stores for PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on June 09, 2025. Not much else is known about this new installment other then what has been extrapolated from the trailer. Players will have a new, dare I say more “futuristic” set of gadgets at their disposal....

Ghostbusters: The Video Gamesold well. June NPD numbers indicate that consumers gobbled up 440,000 units of the game written by Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis inless than three weeks on the market. According to theLA Times blog, Ghostbusters sold more in its first month of release than many other recent film-based properties, includingTransformers: Revenge of the Fallenand even the vauntedX-Men Origins: Wolverine. We’re sure Atari and Terminal Reality are pleased....

Green Man Gaminghas a pretty genius concept to it. Creating a digital distribution platform that allows people to sell back their games and then resell them as used could make quite the meld. If nothing else, there’s great potential from a consumer-loyalty standpoint. The logistics of it couldn’t have been easy. They’ve enticed publishers to sign on by offering a considerable percentage of the used sales. And they’re gathering all sorts of user data which they’ll share with their partners, and that’s always useful when you want to sell somebody something....

For a company that exudes so much rock, it was surprising to find that Harmonix’s home was an unassuming little Masachusetts office building. Smack in the middle of Cambridge’s hip and ever-growing Central Square, there’s really nothing about the building that screams “We made one of the most influential music game of all time — recognize!” Inside is a (slightly) different story, and if you expected Harmonix’s staff of 150 plus to mostly be comprised of cool, hipster musician-types, you’ve nailed it....

What we saw ofHeavy Rainat E3 looked really great, and…well, done. But it’s not even close to being done, according to Quantic Dream’s David Cage. “We’re still at the alpha stage and there’s a whole lot of work to be done,” Cage toldNowGamer. As for where the game stands now, it seems that the game lacks fine tuning. Cage says that many things still don’t work correctly, either. “We need to have everything in place, from facial animations, to score to work out the final result,” he says....

Joan of Arc apparently made the Lionhead cut when it comes to revolutionaries. An image of the famous woman is the ew image on the studios’ splash page. As with the other front page mentions —Che Guevara,Maximilien Robespierra, Abraham Lincoln and Aristole— Arc’s image has a quote directly underneath it. It reads, “I’m not afraid … I was born to do this.” The typical ‘thumbs up’ and ‘thumbs’ down links accompany the text and the numeral one rests on the side of the page....

The UK’s premier videogame rating system, the BBFC, has spilled the beans onL.A. Noire‘s graphic content, and also revealed an interesting tidbit for those that care about such things — Rockstar’s latest will feature over five hours of cutscenes. Five hours and twelve minutes, to be exact.
