A new game coming to the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Windows attempts to mix action, role-playing and tower defense into one title. Ubisoft’s not the only publisher who can bring its games (Assassin’s Creed 2) to life. Electronic Arts has just released two live action videos set in the world of Pandemic’sThe Saboteur. Both spots are surprisingly high quality, although neither tell you a damned thing about the game. Nope, there’s not a bit of gameplay footage in either of the two videos. For that, you might have to rely on Brad Nicholson’s“Ten Minute Taste,”where he proved he can’t drive a car worth a damn....

Origin is EA’s Steam. It’s their answer to Valve’s popular service. The new digital distribution service will be fully revealed later today. For now we know that Origin will focus on PC games, but it could later move to mobile devices and others. It will replace the EA Store for PC games distribution.If you visit the EA Store nowyou’ll find a placeholder for Origin. It goes live later this morning....

Okay, so I’m going to be straight with you. I have a feeling not all of thesePrey 2screens are new. In fact, I recognize some of the ares from the demowe saw before E3. Thanks to a new deal withESPN, Microsoft is once again expanding its downloadable video library; this time with an array of commercial-free NCAA games, X-games competitions, and other sports-stuff shows. That’s cool, right? Guys? Anybody? Additionally, ESPN says it’s looking for ways to “incorporate the Xbox Live online gaming community into its telecasts.” Not sure where they’re going with that, but apparently it was part of the agreement. Star Fox: Shadows of Lylatis a fan madeStar Foxproject that has been in the works for six years now. Six years is a long time for a fan project but there’s a lot on offer here. Space and ground missions, co-op, multiplayer, a deep storyline, massive enemies to much more. Plus, the game looks amazing. Shadows of Lylatseems to be exactly like the kind of sequel we should have gotten in the first place....

Japan’sJumpmagazine has revealed yet anotherFinal Fantasyspin-off in the works, this time one that actually sounds interesting.Theatrhythmhas a typically stupid Square Enix name, but it sounds like a cool idea, and it’ll be coming to the 3DS. The so-called “Theater Rhythm Game” portrays retro side-view battle screens with chibi-esque characters duking it out. The flow of battle is determined not by commands, however, but by tapping the touchscreen in time with the music....
