Konami sends us details and pricing for the Standard and Limited Editions of something calledMetal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots. Hmm, never heard of it. As you might have guessed, the Standard Edition gets the standard current-gen price of $59.99. The limited edition version ofMGS4will be available only at GameStop, and will be priced at $84.99. Its packaging features special artwork by Kojima Productions illustrator Yoji Shinkawa. On the inside, aside from the game, there is a Blu-ray disc featuring two “making of” documentaries....

Against what one could deem better judgment, Mistwalker’sThe Last Storyis going to be one of those rare Wii games with a strong multiplayer element. If you were at all curious about the online mode ofLast Story, you’re in luck, for all has been revealed. Multiplayer is split into two main modes — Versus (a free-for-all competitive battle) and Raid (a co-op boss challenge). In Raid mode, you’ll get to keep the weapons and items you’ve earned during the course of the game, but the team’s levels will be evened out....

We learned just yesterdaythat Konami will be publishing a new PS Vita Little King’s Story title. It’s not clear yet if the game is new or some sort of port, but who cares! Portable Little King action is enough for me. The game is said to have a new story, but the main character and heroine are listed as King Corobo and Princess Apricot, both from the original. So it could go either way....

Marvelous Entertainment had a plan to take over the world. They already developed and distributed games in Japan, but they had moved into North America recently and even co-founded Rising Star Games in Europe. They were ready to dominate this globe with games the likes ofHarvest MoonandNo More Heroes. However, their not so evil plan seems to have gone awry. The companyhas announcedthat they will be switching to a licensing model from her on out in the West....

Nintendo hasn’t said much about the tentatively-named3DSso far, except that it’s coming out in Japan sometime between E3 2010 and the end of March 2011. But Mega64 is already sure that the new platform will change the face of gaming forever by creating a sense of immersion like you’ve never felt before! People are all excited (kind of) again about sharing Friend Codes now that Nintendo has improved how they work in the Nintendo 3DS. On launch day I spent a long time manually looking for and entering codes. Where was Modojo with this cool 3DS Friend Code Finder a couple of weeks ago? Users of Facebook can enter their Friend Code inthis handy application. The obvious benefit is that users can find the codes of other friends in the generated list on the page....

The last game in Namco Bandai’s much storiedTalesseries that I played wasTales of Destinyon the PlayStation. Man, I loved that game. It’s an RPG so, of course, I never actually finished it but I had a great time playing. Damn good thing that I didn’t become hopelessly addicted to the series, seeing as how half of the titles never see release outside of Japan. Take the three games Famitsu has reported confirmation of from a Namco Bandai press conference centered around the series....

Now here is a product that I would probably blow my money on without a moment’s hesitation: a business card holder with retro flavor, representing everything from Mario and Zelda to Ice Climber and even classic Famicom. Cool, right? The only problem is, the product photo appears to have been taken with a low quality camera phone or something equally awful. I think my cat could have done a better job with a camera taped to his ass while hanging from a ceiling fan....

WhileBomberman Livestill has the Destructoid crew gripped firmly in its meathooks, it’s safe to say thatCastle Crasherslooks like the Next Big Thing on XBLA.
