Just as were all panicking at the thought of the 3DS getting too many games this year, a Konami representative has put our fears at rest by stating thatMetal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater 3Dis getting delayed. Thank Christ! BetweenGame Boy TennisandAsphalt 3D, I’m already overwhelmed! Konami has provided no reason for the delay, but multiple representatives have no stated it. Hopefully we’ll get a full statement soon, with maybe some proper release dates....

It’s been a while since I lived in England now, but I still remember how annoying it was to spend £49.99 on a brand new videogame. It looked like things would calm down as I was leaving, with a lot of new games retailing for £39.99. However, if Activision’s shocking price hike forModern Warfare 2is any indicator, it looks like the recession is giving publishers alicense to gouge. Amazingly,Modern Warfare 2is going to sell for the hefty price of£54....

This weekend was huge forCall of Duty.Activision’s first everCall of DutyXPhoused a hefty showing of the upcoming shooter’s multiplayer as well as singleplayer, the Elite service, original content, and, of course, Kanye West. The star was obviously the multiplayer, however, with some pretty substantial alterations. The second multiplayer trailer to emerge from the expo shows off a few new toys while also showing off it’s CoD-ness. They announced some pretty stellar changes, but none of that appears to be under the spotlight here....

Besides fixing some known bugs, Sony has just announced the following addition: In Time Attack gamers can set their best times on each track with any available vehicle classes, then race against ‘ghost’ laps in subsequent Time Attack races. Extra-fast times will see your ghost laps automatically uploaded to the global leader boards for others to compete with....

This is what happens when you’re a really big gaming site and have money to do stuff on a whim. I’m not sure why IGN decided to mix Jim Henson’s Muppets withResident Evil 5, and I don’t know if it’s a good thing. In this case I find it best just to let things happen and watch the video. I’m pretty sure when Hensson created his puppets he never meant them to be blowing off people’s heads or getting beheaded by zombies....

Section 8: Prejudicewill be receiving a new DLC expansion on PlayStation Network in a couple of weeks, called the “Frontier Colonies Map Pack.” On September 13th, players in the US will be able to pick up a pair of new maps for $3.99 while Europe will see the pack in their store the following day. The two maps operate at different ends of the foliage spectrum, with the “Desolation” map taking place amid desert ruins while “Overseer” occupies a fertile forest valley....

Never did get around to playing Nicalis’ action-puzzle platformerNightSky, even after watching it intently for what seems like years now. According to aseries of tweetsby the studio, this game is in the works for 3DS as an eShop release. Heck yeah! Equally cool, surprisingly, is the newNicalis website. You should probably turn your speakers down before loading it up, but definitely give it a browse. I am jealous of their pixel art!...
